    Default My butt thanks you!

I know a couple of players on this wonderful forum sell the same thing so I’ll make this a general product positive review. I just received my butt pad made out of lambswool cut it 1 inch. Since it is 96° here in Lincoln Nebraska, it was a great day to unpack it and try it out. What a difference! I have used the same product on several other bikes but I forgot how great it was. My bike sat out in 96° weather for over an hour and a half while I was having an adult beverage, Or two and I can tell you I no longer had to put the bath towel on the seat to ride home. Whoever you buy it from get a good butt pad and you’ll be several degrees more comfortable.

I wonder how a cooling seat would work like ones cars have now.

I think they be great on hot days when sitting on the Spyder for hours..

Just returned from a 13 day loop to Yellowstone. Used a WildAss air cushion all the way. Several 91+ days (as high as 102 for hours) without MonkeyAss. I forgot my sheepskin at home which would have bees even better in the heat. Beads help the most but not comfy for looong tours.

I used to be in the leather business and sold custom sheepskin covers for cars and motorcycles for awhile. The spiel was, they keep you cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter due to the insulation factor. They also looked nice as well as being functional.

We still have our sheepskin/gel pads from Alaska Leather. They have been on all seven of our Spyders. Linda most recently used hers on our trip to the Hot Springs Rally in AR.

Not to hijack, I was hoping to do Hot Springs, but didn't work out. My Spyder friend, coachbob3 from Tallahassee made the rally had very positive feedback. Now back to saddles.

Is the sheepskin seat cover that lamonstergarage sells worth getting? I was thinking about getting it because even though I upgraded to the comfort seat, I still get a little saddle sore on long rides.

EDIT on 6/23/21: I ended up ordering the one on lamonstergarage last night.

I checked out this site, and my first thought was....what about adult diaper underwear? Anyone try them for the “sore butt/hot butt” long rides in the heat problem? Don’t know if it would help/work, but it’s a thought.

Got my hands on a Misty Mountian seat cover a couple thousand miles ago. What they all say about them is true.

Waiting for mine to arrive. Can't wait. Tired of having to cut the ride short because of saddle soreness.

Went to the site, is there a click for pricing? Maybe I missed it.

Full-sized for an RT. Jumbo I believe. All black, and if you go to their website I believe they are on sale right now. Remember, they are not an end-all. They just make you more comfortable during everyday short rides. If you are looking for total comfort for a 500/600-mile day they are not built for that.

Well, I rode my Heritage Softail from Durango Colorado to Lincoln Nebraska, 827 miles, with a sheepskin seat topper and I couldn’t of done it without it.

We've got sheepskin on ours too. I also added a 1" thick piece of memory foam under the sheepskin, making it even more comfy.
