Default What size Airhawk cushion for 2016 F3L front and back. Do they work well?

Hi, I'm thinking about the Airhawk seat cushions front and back for 2016 F3L. Do they do the job?

I still have my original Air Hawk cushion from either 2007 or '08.... its been through 3 2-wheelers, 2 Gold Wing trikes and now 1 Spyder. I LOVE it. Takes very LITTLE air or else its too bouncy and hard.
There is a similar product out there from a company called Wild Ass... www.wild-ass.com... Actually, they bought the original Air Hawk people out, then they all got into some kind of legal squabble....now its 2 totally different companies with similar products.

Just took my first ride a couple days ago on a AirHawk R, size L for my '21 F3. Having used a cheap knock off on a Victory Vegas, I was totally skeptical. The cheapo knock off wasn't worth a dime. The real McCoy AirHawk was great! It was just what the F3 saddle needed. It got rid of the hot spots and pressure pains, had me sitting in the saddle and not leaning forward uncomfortably. Everyone will have their own reaction but I like it and a whole lot cheaper than an aftermarket saddle.

I love my AirHawk cushions and have one for each of my bikes. Remember, IT ISN'T A BEACH BALL! They work best with very little air in them. I have the large AirHawk R on my Spyder and the medium versions on my two wheeled machines.

x 2. Still have my original from that time. I have the "medium cruiser" size. It fits everything. They may have some newer size names now. The secret with an Airhawk is to get the air adjustment right. You sit IN it, not ON it. Don't blow it up to much.

You may want to look at this item also. I had the Airhawks and went over to the Butt Buffer because it is a gel insert. My wife and I use the large on my F3L and we just finished up a 4200 mile Smokey Mountain Ride last week and not a sore butt to be had.

Think I got you beat. Bought my air hawk at @Daytona Bike Week in 1997. Has served me well for 24 years. You are correct about inflation. Just a little bit. The actual trick to using them for long rides is to run with one until you stop for gas. Take it off and store it in your bag until the next gas stop. Replace it for the next leg.

This is good advice. I do the same thing. Another thing I do sometimes is start with the Airhawk with more inflation and then periodically let more air out. It definitely works the best with very little inflation.

I've been a fan of AirHawk for years and just finished 3800 mile trip with one on my F3L. Butt.....I have sore butt, first time ever with a 'Hawk. I know the secret of little air but I don't know why it really didn't do the trick for my trip. I did try skipping it between fill-ups and it somewhat worked I guess. I actually found this thread while searching for an aftermarket seat option!
