    Default Ryker Third Peg

    A while back I posted about my Ryker's seat. I mentioned trying to make a third peg to allow me to get on the bike when I have a top case. Well here it is. I bought a Ryker peg off E-Bay for $85.00 and mounted it on the Ryker track.

    Looks good.
    After seeing what you did, I wonder if you could attach a long platform connecting both of them together.

    I thought the same thing. We could make a floorboard similar to the Ultimate floorboard for Spyder F3

    ... and here I thought I was the first ... ;-{

    I lost my left lower leg a while back and was looking for a little insurance to keep my "foot" from bouncing off on a hard bump. The dual pegs are perfect - I rest the toe of my shoe on the front peg and heel sits between both. Also as mentioned, it's handy for stepping up to clear the trunk. Also looking into drilling the end of both pegs and adding a bumper bar to help keep the foot centered where it belongs.

    ** Dealer says it's also possible on the right peg - just order the mount and peg without the brake cylinder.

    I thought about doing this also. Thanks for showing it's possible!

    At the 3 wheel motorcycle class I took to get my license the instructor taught us to use the passenger peg on a Spyder to mount and dismount the bike. I use the passenger peg on my Ryker now because I keep scuffing the gas tank with my boot.

    Bit off topic: sKiZo - what knob did you use on the shifter? Like the shape.

    Thanks!! Would that make it easier to throw my leg over with my Ultimate seat thats about 2 inches higher than the comfort seat. Can you step on it to mount the Ryker?

    I Looked up the parts on the fiche and its $140??? Gotta be a cheaper way!

    Great that is what I did. Think my peg was $80.00. A simple solution to a big problem.

    Can you actually stand on this second peg to mount the bike?

    Doesn't it appear to have to be about 6 inches further back OR your pulling hard on the bars as you mount?

    Yup ... I do it when I have the tail trunk mounted. I grab the bars near the center for a boost.

    That's a garage find from an old Massey Ferguson transfer case ... luck finding another one, eh. ;-}

    Ah ... found a pic. The markings are an added bonus, perfect for the Ryker. ;-}
