Spyder Any Adapters - 4 pin square to 4 pin flat for trailer hitch?

Bought the BRP trailer hitch.jpg4 pin plug.jpg it came with a 4 pin square. Anyone aware of a connection to make it a flat 4 connector?

Cut the flat four in two and tape (or heat shrink tube) one half on top of the other. It'll then fit the square four. I haven't done this myself but others here on the forum have.

I've never tried that but it sounds workable.

I did the cut and tape of the Flat 4 to make a
Square 4 for the hitch on my previous ST.
    It worked without a problem.

Buying the adapter from Lamont is a good option. Does not alter the trailer or Spyder. So the trailer can be towed by any other vehicle with a flat 4 plug.
Cutting the flat 4 in half should work but limits what you can tow with.
I have in seen in auto parts stores a 1 foot long extension cable with a flat 4 on both ends. Just thinking that cutting the male end of that in half and making a square 4 out of it. That would be cheap and the trailer can still be towed by another vehicle.
