    Considering that this is a Holiday set aside to commemorate those who have served and died,
    is it really appropriate to have a "happy" Memorial Day?

    Although Veterans are appreciated and could/should be thanked almost every day,
    this Holiday is to honor those who are no longer with us.

    Where is our flag-waving or saluting smiley???
