Well the newest E-track tie downs showed up today and the project is more or less complete. Being a old Coastie and boater that double down on mooring lines when the wind was blowing, the Spyder is going to ride in that mode.

I drilled a couple more holes in the OEM ramp so the outside ramps can move in to load a golf cart.

Yes the Ring nuts on the lower shock mount get to be part of the tie down.

The four black ratchet straps on continues loops with no hooks.

I am very happy with the finished product!

Depending on my wife's health and what happens there, this is where I will be spending the summer months In Washington State.

This morning I got going early while it was still cool out an towed the trailer/with Spyder up the B-Line into the mountains and back for a second shakedown run. 130 miles round trip with lots of up and down hills on the B-line. Mileage was 17.7 or similar to the first test on the flats in the East Valley.

Wow that's a lot of straps. I only strap down the front wheels with straps, E-tracks and E-chocks. As my picture in my previous post shows. I do nothing for the rear wheel. It won't move. But whatever makes you feel secure.

What brand are the 3 auxiliary ramps you are using?

It is going to be a 1500-1600 trip each way, so I want it doubly secured.

I drilled out the aluminum pop rivets on the hinges and separated it in to three ramps, verse the tri-fold ramp. Chris

Put at 40, however I think I can go lower yet. Been busy with wife's health the Ford Edge leaving the trailer running lights on when the vehicle is off.

Well DW stepped off the planet on July 5th and after wrapped up all the associated paper work I headed North with her ashes and the Spyder on the trailer.

    Wells Nv headed North:

Before leaving for Washington I bought a Kawasaki KRX 1000.

So before returning I traded the Edge ST for a 2021 F150 XLT Sport. Wells Nv headed South.

    KRX on the trailer:

I was going to get a ticket or kill myself in the Edge ST as it was just to much fun to drive! The dealer gave me more than we paid for it 15 months earlier and 2 K off the F150. The F150 is loaded with options, 12" Sync 4 display, Co-pilot 360, 360 cameras, Pro Backup assist, stop and go adaptive Cruse on and on. It is much more conformable seat for long trips like I make. Both had/have the 2.7L twin turbo V6. Edge was 335/380 8 speed and the F150 is 325/400 10 speed.
