Q5 tire - Is that a brand or nickname to a certain type of tire?
I see Q5 mentioned on tire discussions. Is that a brand or nickname to a certain type of tire?

The Q-5 is the Model designation for the ( hard to spell ) Vredestein tire ..... I've talking about this for almost a year now and most here know it as the " Q-5 "..... currently it is the best all-around tire made to fit the Spyders ..... I am always for something better and recently found the Michelin " Cross-Climate " .... which is rated a Tad better - however it's only available ( in Spyder sizes ) in the Scandinavian countries and Europe ..... there was a recent review by a member from the Netherlands .... He liked it a lot .... Mike

I’ve installed the Q5’s on my 2019 F3L….. awesome improvement in handling and quietness. Excellent choice.

They get better over time as well. Give them about 500 miles to really blossom.

That's what I've got on the front of my 2021 RT. No issues whatsoever.

The Cross Climate's seemed to have faired better at least in the reviewers eyes.

Personally, I don't put too much weight on ratings offered by those doing the selling. Many factors such as availability, profit margin, manufacturers kick-backs can bias the seller's opinions. From what I've read here, pretty much ANY AUTO tire will far out-perform the Kenda junk.

Any tire is an improvement over KENDA OEM’s

Interesting enough, the only Q5 size out of stock is 165-60-15. The most popular Q5 size ordered from Spyder Lovers.

I have 175/55-15 on my wife's '17 RT-S.
They definitely fill the space under the fender, but they don't touch.
