Tires - any installers not charging labour?
Two years ago when I was in Vegas I bought tires and they had a promotion where they did not charge labor.
Is anybody doing that now. I would like to replace my tires if I can do it without being charged for labor
-
I don't know about FREE labor but most non-dealer tire shops will only charge a small amount. I just paid $12/ea to have a local tire shop remove my wheels, mount new tires, balance and reinstall.

If you ran a tire business how much free labor could you afford? Try a Discount Tire shop. They change them very inexpensively but don't have the small cone to fit Spyder wheels for their spin balancing machine.

otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

Few MC shops will mount a run-flat car tire on a motorcycle rim such as a GoldWing GL1800 rear. I've found many Walmarts will for around $12 if you carry-in wheel and new tire.

I have heard that you can order your front Federals at WM and then will balance and install them, free or for a small fee. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Federal-F...-75V/109532398 They are actually in stock at this local WM's.

That was most likely because they could. Whitehorse, in the middle of the Yukon Territory and a thousand miles or so to the next dealer. They got the service thingy to a tee--for them. And yes, I have been there no less than three times. Fortunately, the Spyders did not need repairs or service.
On our move from AK to AR, we had to have a blow out tire repaired on the car. It happened about 50 miles out of Edmonton. More into civilization...so we did not feel we had been to a clip joint.

I agree on the fact that Whitehorse is 1,000 or so miles from nowhere. I lived in Fort St. John for 50 years and have been to Whitehorse 3 or 4 times. The dealers up there can charge whatever they wish....you have no other option.

The last time we were there, we took a hundred mile or so trip down to Skagway AK. Now there was an interesting town and a very scenic ride.
