Completely agree with Mikey. Assuming you bought it new and got the instructions, just follow those. It's simple. The hardest thing is getting the front of the bike high enough. You remove (2) belly panels then just follow the instructions to remove the old and install the new.

Agree with all the above. It's not hard at all, but you MUST have the required height or you will not get the old bar out and new bar in.

Very true. Some imagine there is a way to cheat that height. But once you get there, you find there is no way around it. Get it up, or you won't get it out! Still, an easier job than most think. It's only hard if you try to hurry.

Some have used planks to ride up a slope for the clearance needed. You can lift a little lower if you only raise the front because the angle gives more room for removal.

True, that kind of 'Cheating' will buy you some extra room with less lift.

I took the Baja Ron bar off my 2019 and installed it on the 2021 RTL w/o instructions. It's a pretty straight forward install. As others have said as long as you have the hight to remove it after it is unbolted.

How far does it need to be lifted?

You need 24" of vertical clearance from the sway bar mounting channel to the ground. You start with about 4-5 inches because the bar is tucked up from the ground that far. So, that means you need to get about 20" more. However, as mentioned above, if you lift just the front of the bike (which I recommend because leaving the rear wheel on the ground gives you added stability). The angle means you get more room vertically from the Spyder to the floor with less lift. Then you are looking at more like 18" of total lift.

Could I use the ramps that I use to load my lawn tractor on the back of my silverado to get the desired height with the rear wheel on the ground?

I really have no desire to use any jacks or jack stands on my spyder.

When I installed the sway, I used a forklift, right under the A-arms, with a rubberblock between the gables and the spyder. worked like a charm.
the funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it........
