    Default Windshield Cleaners

Is there any cleaners that do not have a strong odor. I have tried Plexus but the odor is too strong for me.

    Thanks

! My windshield always looks best when I have freshly washed and dried the Spyder.

I use All Kleer is it made for plastics. Takes the bugs off and leaves a nice clear windshield. And stops fogging so you can use it on your face shield too.

I just put some Screen Wash used for Car windscreens into a spray bottle - Spay it on let it sit for a min or 2 then clean off with a paper towel

I’ve started using Brilliance Plastic Cleaner. What is most impressive to me is that once applied to a clean windshield or visor the bug residue will literally wash off with a garden hose with no scrubbing. It works better for me than Plexus ever did.

.... Unless you have an F-4 windshield ....NEVER use a paper towel .... it's made from WOOD fibers and will scratch and scuff the plastic , same goes for Ammonia & Bleach ..... good luck .... Mike

I use BugSlide on my bike and windshield. It works great for all surfaces. Does not yellow or scratch. It's what all the Harley guys use on chrome, paint and windshield.

I soften bugs (on the GL1800) with drug store hydrogen peroxide, wipe them off with a microfiber cloth, then polish with Original Bike Spirits.

On my F4 Custom windshield it’s a spray made with 1/3 hydrogen peroxide, 2/3 water, spray and wipe it off with terry, micro, paper towel or whatever is handy. The imperfections in my windshield are from rocks, etc., I encounter while ryding, not from cleaning it. Simple solution, cheap, quick and clear.

Pledge has a nice odor. That’s what I use. Water, soak and wipe off then pledge.

Meguiar's G3626 Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax is what I use. It has a strong, but pleasant odor that could bother you. It works really well without any long term issues to clear plastics.

That being said if odors bother you, soak a towel in water and place it over the windshield to rehydrate the bugs. Let is soak for about 5-10 minutes than just wipe off with a soft clean and dry towel.

Like Mike said never use paper towels or any product with ammonia because they'll damage the clear protective coating on the plastic material. Ammonia free Windex is okay, but regular is not. Windex with vinegar is questionable as I've not read anything definitive on it.
