Hi everyone,
Long time 2 wheel rider here looking at getting into the 3 wheeled scene. I'm getting older and riding 2 wheeled sport bikes is not as rewarding as it used to be for me. I'm tired of searching for every defect in the road 100% of the time when riding. I would be nice to enjoy the scenery instead. Looking for a change while reducing risk at the same time.
I think a Spyder F3-S Special might be a good transition, but I fear I may pull the trigger on one and not like it. It's a lot of money to invest in something so different from a motorcycle that I've never ridden. The biggest concern is that most of my 2 wheeled riding has had my legs underneath me for support. I tried cruiser bikes, but didn't like my legs being out front as it seemed to put more stress on my lower back. I'm afraid the F3 may do the same by putting my legs out front, thus leaving my back to fend for itself. Not sure if this is a problem or not for others with bad backs and Spyders? Other than that, I'm really intrigued by the Spyder. I almost pulled the trigger about 4 years ago and never committed. I'm back for round two of looking into them.
