Default F3T 2018 Replacing the rear sprocket

    Hello.
I have F3T 2018. The question is what I have to do because I changed the rear wheel with the sprocket 89 teeth for 79 teeth. When I start the gear, it switches to emergency mode and it will stop immediately.

Most who've tried to do this have had to revert to the original sized sprocket to get their Spyder to work again!

The only people (or is it 'person'? ) who've managed to get a sprocket size change to work successfully informed us it involved a LOT of computer intervention (and therefore cost ) and because so many of the embedded software driven 'safety' features that are involved in operating a Spyder had to be disabled or circumvented, it wasn't really viable without either permanently running in 'limp home' mode or turning the machine into a virtually unrideable death wish looking for fulfilment!!

There have been quite a few threads here discussing this over the years; many have tried; no-one has been really successful.... yet!

I have a 2016 F3L and I like the lower gearing. Why switch?
