Default Is there a trick to checking the tire pressure in the rear tire?

I have a 2020 rt limited and I looked for and found the tire valve for the rear tire. It is on the sproket (belt pulley) side and sticking straight out and not up. There is less than maybe a 1/2" clearance if that. How the hell do you check the pressure and add air if need be?

I have an extended valve connected to halo air pump that I use to check tire pressure and add air. So, it makes it easier. So, with that said, either find an extension to add to the tire's stem, or use a something to check the tire pressure that has a long valve. Makes it a lot more manageable than trying to be a contortionist

Harley has the same problem with their Ultra rear wheel so the sell an extension that is about 6-8 inches long and really helps check and fill that rear valve. Some have also fitted a second valve stem bu drilling the right sized hole at a more convenient place.

maybe I am missing something. My valve stem stick straight out towards the flywheel. If I add an extension when the tire spins it will hit the flywheel at some point.

That's one reason I put FOBO2s on the bike. Only have to mess with the valve if/when the tire gets low.

I use a screw on hose and a smart compressor that stops at the set pressure. Air loss on removal is not an issue.

At 88, laying on the floor being a contortionist is a problem. Do I do it, sure, but it ain't no fun. Could BRP have simplified this, I think so. But look, BRP didn't build these things just for me, so I adapt as required.

I use a long reach digital air gauge. Yeah you still have to get down there but makes it easier when you have a extended wand on the aur gauge.
