Nice vidio I wonder if the trailer hitch will fit our Spyders?

Apparently the RT HAS a bigger engine - the video states (for the RT) a Rotax 991 and (for the RS) a Rotax 990. LOL, the predictions were true.

As far as I was told, the answer is no, at least on the yellow one.

Did I hear that it is only 991 cc...that would be disappointing.
Let us know how it rides.

Hitch? "The first and only"...sounds like a MMG ad!
Number One: 2008 Yellow GS SM5. I love my Spyder.
Number Two: 2012 RT-S Limited (the poop colored RT) I still have Number One, but Some Girl made me buy Number Two...

991 is the family of Rotax, it's still a 998cc just like ours.

No bigger engine will be a drawback in the loaded RT-S. Big touring bikes generally have more power. With the extra weight it won't even be as perky as the original.

Looks really nice for touring bike...can't knock it...

Thought they would put more power into it.
Maybe they will have an update to give it more power later

I like it but really... I think my Givi V35's and V46 probably equal the storage of the RT while still allowing me to haul them around like luggage.
I like the new dash display. I'm wondering if the factory cruise can be dropped onto our spyders??
I'll hole final opinion for when I can physically poke at one. For now, for the money, I think the ability to mod our spyders EXACTLY to our needs has more value to people like me. Others might jump at the factory integration.
The iPod integration kinda kills it for me too. I'm not an iPod guy. If they had built a USB hatch or SD slot that would have been awesome. EDIT... Ah.. they do have a 3.5 mm plug for non-iPod gear.

The RT-S weighs about three hundred pounds more and has less horsepower (100 vs 106 in my 2008). Definitely for touring and not a sport model.
Some cool stuff that I wish I could get on mine, though, like the adjustable rear suspension, ipod thingy, cruise control. I haven't found the accessories yet, so maybe I can get some of it?
I really like the all black one.

Less HP, but more torque, and at a lower RPM.

RT is not my cup of tea, i like the sporty ("old school spyder") look more. However that trailer looks really nice, I wonder what the cost of trailer would be

You're exactly right! After a year BRP will come out with an update that grows a 3rd cylinder! It will sputter for awhile till the new cylinder is fully formed!
If you don't like the new cylinder you just pinch it off with a clamp!
