Default 2018 Spyder F3 Limited price

Found one (actually a local collector of may things) has a red one with 198 miles on it. I can get it for $20k no tax or anything. Seem about right or high?

Buy from private party will usually means no warranty. Value for the 2018 F3L according to KBB is about $18,500, trade in value is about $14,000 (note the value price is based on buying from a dealer with some sort of warranty). A bike is worth what ever you are willing to pay. Good luck shopping!

    Saw this just today:
    https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...s-I-m-a-sucker

Just be sure to do your research.
Check online for the VIN, Maintenance Records, Stored Indoors or... Outdoors? (A.k.a. Scorpion nest?), water damage, etc..

Also, ask about the upgrades made. $20k is “High”, but maybe they added $1000 of extras/labor. Or, it all could be pure Stock.
    Devil’s in the details.

Be sure to read around the site, and read about what steps others have done in your same situation.
There’s plenty of good stories/tips here from others.
It’ll save you some headaches. I had to pass up more than 1 Spyder, before I found “The One”.
    Good luck!

Spyder is stock, with only add being the factory rider backrest. I know the owner. It has always been garage kept and on a battery tender. Everything he has, several collector cars, are all kept immaculately clean. My best friend is buying a 2012 Triumph Bonneville from him for under normal asking price. It has 1200 miles on it.

remember this will be a private sale so no sales tax or any other fees other than licensing.

Any item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you have an intimate knowledge of the seller and how he keeps his stuff and you feel its worth it, then get it. But, dont just get it because its the first one you saw and like.

Not sure how it works there. But here in NC, you still will pay sales tax when you go to get tags from the DMV. So the no tax thing really doesn't mean a whole lot.

In AR, they get the sales tax when you apply for the tags. My latest was an extra $1,100 or so.

Az has no sales tax on a private sale. Buy used from a dealer and you pay sales tax.
