 Dirty! Is it safe to use a hose under the seat? Suggestions?
Just installed Pierre's trailer wiring harness yesterday and upon removing panel from under the seat i couldn't believe how dirty and dusty it was under there. Is it safe to use a hose without spray nozzle to rinse under the seat? Other suggestions?

We bought a 2018 the end of October last year, and I swear the original owner lived 13 miles down a gravel driveway/road, and only rode it to the email box at the highway and back each day. Everything under every cover is covered in dust. I took a small pressure washer to the right side when I had most of the covers off that side. I still need to do that on the left side.

Things that move between machines: Ikea sheep skins, Zumo XT GPS, and extra tools. Hooker is going to be my summer trike up North; and Hookie my winter trike down South.

Sure. Very little on the bike is waterproof. I've ridden in frog strangling rains and when I'd stop for gas, under the seat was wet. Didn't hurt anything. Just be careful with any sort of pressure.

 Just Carefully spray your Spyder and wipe it off with a Soft cloth. ......Or you can use a damp Soft cloth.....

I would spray the area liberally with something like " simple green ", and let it soak out of the sunlight ..... then you could use a reg garden hose ( sensibly ) to wash it off .... spot clean any difficeult area's again .... goof luck .... Mike

I get scared when I hear about someone using a pressure wash because that can cause problems SOMETIMES.
Mine is a low PSI small electric one, and I keep its distance away from the trike's electrical stuff.

I wouldn't use a pressure washer under any circumstances. I've used a pressure washer on my car but as soft as the Spyders paint is, I don't think I'd trust it on the paint and there are too many things too much pressure could damage other than the paint (i.e. electronics, speakers, seats, etc).

One of the battery operated low pressure washers is nice to have around. Less water than a garden hose but more effective.
