It was pretty cool this morning in the desert S.W. I actually had to turn the furnace on. But, nothing but blue sky's and heading for a high in the lower 70s. Stay safe (and warm)..... Jim

Welcome back to the WEEKEND. Just a little note, for some of us (I'm one) the Weekends seem to be getting longer. ....

Calling for some real changes in the weather the next seven days in Indiana. The temperatures are going to drop. Some of the coldest day of Winter are coming. Stay tune for daily news.

Today only 27°F with sunshine. Looks good but because of the wind chill, feels like 12°F. Low of 3°F.

Sunday's high will be only 14°F with some sun, low of 9°F.

1 below with -16 windchill, no riding for at least a week here. Had a 90 mile ride just a few days ago... was going to go skiing, but I’d rather stay warm...

We have some of that windchill with teens to zero on the way. That is c-c-c-cold for AR. Does not look like we will ride much either the next week.

However, looking way North to Duluth, MN...they have -45 below going on.

Valley Springs AR: We got some snow with more predicted on and off for the next day or so. Started about 4:00 pm and it is now very white outside. About an inch so far.

Another gray morning and 14°F. Off and on snow showers today. This is the start of the coldest days in Indiana for Winter. Good news is that Spring is only 6 weeks away (I sure hope so).

Today in North Carolina 45 degrees with a high of 50...suppose to be 56 degree high tomorrow so getting some road time in after work and getting to know my spyder better...cant wait for the spring to kick in because this will be my main commuting vehicle...and of course touring with the wife this summer...Excited...

64 degrees here in the Nevada back country. There was still ice on my driveway, though, in the shaded spots. Didn't take the two-wheel bike out because of that but got on the F3 for a little bit of a ride. We're supposed to be back in the snow this week though, so back on life support for the F3.

Valley Springs AR: still cold, cloudy, and icy spots. Most of the snow melted overnight and the grass is more green/brown than white. Saw my first Robin today in the yard. The other birds are also all over the place.

Early temps in low 20's, so it is still on the cool side.

Today ( Tuesday) We got more snow. Temps were in the 20's, cloudy.


Wednesday and Thursday the sun will shine and both days will be quite. Also, we get a break from shoveling snow.

On Friday and Saturday , they are forecasting some very cold weather. They are saying to keep the pets inside,and be sure that the farm animals have adequate shelter.

Then on Sunday( Valentines Day) they are forecasting an other snow storm, which will continue into Monday Hey West coast stop sending us your snow storms!

I want spring!

Mother Nature stop sending us your dandruff! ( snow)

Wednesday: More of the same....But.....we did not get any of the ice storm. Looks like we dodged the proverbial bullet.

An interesting sidebar: Two of our feral cat buddies decided they wanted out of the weather yesterday. Greeneyes wanted in at 2:00 PM and Smokey came in at 4:00 PM. They both spent the night indoors. Smokey likes Linda's lap and Greeneyes likes mine. Both spent lap time with us. They both left early AM today after eating.

Both cats let us know when they want out to do their business. They go to the front door, meow a couple times, and wait to be let out. That's also how they let us know they want in.

Best of both worlds. Have cat company, but no litter box hassle.

Welcome to Friday's cold temperatures, 18°F this morning. Windchill is 10°F and cloudy. The next four days are going to be very cold, some in the single digits. Time will tell about that happening.

Snow showers yesterday brought us about another inch of snow. We have about 3" on the ground now.

Today only 23°F and cloudy, low 18 °F.

In L.A. it's been chilly in the mornings the last few days but it warms up later in the day. It's 54° right now.

4" of snow last night and more on the way. 15° on my porch this morning, 26° forecast high today and 5 more days of snow. But, I was able to ride right up to last Tuesday, so Winter hasn't been bad so far. Longest storage has been 2 weeks. Going for a snowblower ride today...

We are headed for the coldest snap they have had in many years here in AR. We thought we moved away from this kind of weather. We are going to get some single digits to zero.

With the occasional freezing drizzle, no Spyders for at least another week.

We're going to have 10+ days of straight -* temps by early next week. Might get above 10* by Tuesday. Wind chills of -35* this weekend. But, yeah, I'd rather have the snow than freezing rain

We are having a cold snap now. Tonight will be the coldest of the season. Today's temps were in the single digits above zero, tonight will be extremely cold. They say dress in layers. This cold snap will be short. On Sunday the temps will be in the 20's. Also, they are forecasting 3 more snow storms next week. By Friday the temps in the 30's and rain!

Winter is here to stay for awhile. I am ready for Spring! I hope we have a warm spring.

I can handle the ice,and freezing rain.
