I personally opted to install on left, but works right or left.
    Think it turned out nice!

Hmm, not really my cup of tea. I tend to like fender deletes on many sport bikes, but I'll have to admit
I don't dislike the fender on Peggy's Spyder.

My question is what happens when you ride on a wet patch of road, is there enough seat back there from giving you a strip up the back side???

I don't see your license plate light? They are required in all 50 states. No big deal if you don't ride at night, but a legitimate probable cause for a traffic stop. I'd like it more if the plate was mounted under the fender. Probably a small, battery powered LED light out there somewhere.. I see that is your 1st post. Welcome

Won’t be loosing that pesky light like others however agree might be difficult to view & literally have been stopped for plate too dirty “hologram not visible” before different vehicle decades ago but still aware.

That is not a problem at all...
The seat/rear fairing is between me and the tire, so, makes physics sense.

No you don't see them, because I use these, very simple install, and they light the plate up Very well at night!

mine has (smaller) fender out of a 3d-printer and adapters which lift the bar higher so the plate has the max 30° ankle which is law in Germany. And my licenceplate has the minimum size of 18x20cm so it won´t look really good in my eyes mounted at the side

Late thought but trailer hitch did good job protecting my rear when clipped by a out of control car. IMG_6565.jpg acted as crumple zone, sure better than nothing back there.

One of these LEDs can light it up. Mount on fender then just run the wire to the USER circuit under the seat.

    to see LED on Amazon
