    Johnny;
i've mounted my 7JUROCK on my new F3, and it's far superior to the Gust shield... with the GUST, you need to drill the mounting holes, the 7 shield is drilled and it fit PERFECT... it's also wider than the GUST... i did a 100+ mile ride today, and it's just awesome... i got the 27" version and tinted SMOKE, $180 USD and i'm happy as a pig in poop...

Sorry, I'm a little late to this discussion.

I bought the 19" Gustafsson Sport Tourer for my 2018 F3 Limited. I'm just shy of 5'11" and the wind hits me on the forehead. There isn't much wind noise but to be fair, I've never tried the Spyder with another windshield (I put this on immediately after buying the bike). I clean the windscreen pretty vigorously and haven't had a blemish yet. The bugs occasionally hit my forehead but never lower. The windshield mounted very quickly using the existing holes and hardware. It literally took a couple minutes in my case. It's nice listening to the stereo speakers at highway speed without the need to crank the volume too high (I normally wear custom fit earbuds on the highway).

I look just over the windshield while seated so the tint isn't a problem.

Hope this helps. I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you choose.

The F4 Customs windshield is made from High Optics Polycarbonate and is hard coated with our proprietary coating which makes it extremely scratch resistant, cleans with paper towels and any glass cleaner and is optically perfect. We only make our shields from polycarbonate and not acrylic.

Does your windshield have a flip/reverse curve at the top? That really helps to lift the wind over your head.

I'm considering the 7JUROCK as well. You mentioned you got the 27" version. Mind me asking how tall are you? I'm at 5'11" and my "new-to-me" F3 came with the route 129 shield. My head is blasted by the wind like nobody's business.

Anybody with a shield that still allows buffeting might want to consider adding Saeng Ta "stealth edging". Gives you an extra virtual two inches of shield height ... I love the stuff. They sell it by the foot, so you can fit any shield.

PS - Stuff's press fit and grips tight on a standard thickness shield. I've had a couple shields that were too thin, so I just padded the edge out with a couple layers of black electrical tape first. You'll also want to make sure your shield is mounted solidly as the edging does add some wind loading ...

    WARNING > > Off topic. <G>

Your trailer rig looks nice. How's it track? I've got a similar rig and wondering how well it would work on a Ryker for short in state hauls. The Royal doesn't break a sweat, but has twice the power and weight. Fully loaded, we're talking a couple hundred pounds anyway.

Half a million miles, and I ain't dead yet.

I have the stock windshield and got the wind spoiler on top and it works fine on regular roads....wind deflectors1.jpg
haven't tried it on the highway yet but I still may go with the 7jurock 27 inch windscreen just to make sure my better half is not getting that back wind on her helmet...lol...happy wife happy life...

They will make you one 9" wider and the stock brackets can still be used. I'm also 5-11 and a 27" would be over my head. If you don't mind looking through a w/s rather that over it, go with it. A 21" with a flip will shoot the wind well over your head.

For those of you that have the 7jurock, where did you get your mounting hardware? It doesn’t come with any and I don’t want to buy a route129 or blue ridge windshield just for the mounting hardware.

I used my original hardware that came with the Spyder. I have a 22 RT. Good luck! B SAFE!

Sorry, didn’t realize you have a Ryker. Me bad!

+1 on the 7Jurock, great price and they will cut to your dimensions. The flip really works.

    Thumbs up

I posted my install in the DIY section for the 20" Light Smoke, supplied brackets, Gustafson Plastics windshield which I installed on the weekend. I hope this helps someone who is trying to decide on height etc.
