I do like the looks of it. I don't have one myself. Now it will really look like a Dodge truck.

Deer Bashers ? Hopefully not too heavy. Might have to ramp up the preload to get some height back ...

All I wanted was something that will lightly touch a concrete wheel stop in a parking lot before the plastic chin bar does. Rivco sells an attractive bumper at a high cost and it's not for F3 bikes. So I made my own out to aluminum bar and shapes, since I can't weld. If I could weld, it would have looked different and made of steel.

I dont think you can use your spyderpops bump skid with it since it has it's own built in skid plate. If you go that way I maybe interested in buying your bumpskid.

If you ae talking to me, I don't have a bumpskid. But the two 1/4 X 1" aluminum bars that the bumper is attached to will act as a skid.

Arrived today and got it installed. I like it . I'll wait till another day and dial up the preload on the front shocks. This weighs 13#, so it won't hurt. I see some amber lights for it in the future too

Ha ... That's what I thought I drove mine up on tire ramps, which gave ample work room. I found a cardboard box the perfect height to hold the guard up. Weighing approx. 13#, and being a bit wide, it is very hard to hold upright without support. Plus, you don't want it hanging from a single (or double bolt). With the box centered underneath the guard, aligning bolts > bolt holes was MUCH easier. So, the answer is NO without a support, and YES with a support.

Looks nice, troop. My only concern would be the (4) (2 on each side) bars that angle back towards the suspension. I can see hitting something easy enough to not damage the front of the bike but just hard enough to allow those (4) bars to contact the suspension. Might do a LOT of damage in an otherwise fairly minor collision.

The photo is a bit misleading Monk. The end caps of the guards are 12" from the suspension. The guards crashing against the grill would prevent that. I think most damage would occur at the (4) lower mounting bolts. This guard actually has a touch more ground clearance than it did with my SpyderPops bumpskid installed. With the 2019 F3S having the ribs on the underside grill, the bumpskid actually sat 1/2" lower to the ground.

I see a potential problem; where the oval tubing angles down and is welded to the supports that go under the bike, there is a sharp corner. When hitting a pothole or a sharp dip, that will dig in like a plow. I have already scraped the bottom front edge of my DIY bumper's channel, so I am going to replace it with round or half round material.

We shall see. This will be approx. 1/2" higher than my Spyder Pops bump skid, as the underside ribs are not an issue to mounting. That did scrape a few times. Won't be riding here in WI for a couple months.

I like the looks! Having just replaced the two "breakaway supports" on my '15 F3-S, after the bumpskid caught on a RR crossing, I would be wary of any structural function of the guard. There is no metal, other than the frame, anywhere close to the front end. Having a substantial weight cantelevered off the frame where the front suspension attaches may affect steering and handling, too. I'd rather replace the plastic pieces than the frame should I hit something hard.

We've had/have 2 F3-S and 2 F3-T/L machines, with only one having the bumpskid. For me, the bumpskid is not going back on any of our F3 machines.

    @Troop. I FEEL YA BUDDY.
I was slinkin around online & randomly came across this back in Nov lastyear.
debated. debated. debated some more. Then said the hell with it, bought it.

Came in a nice giant double box, & quadruple wrapped. I’ve never had a safer padded shipment in MY LIFE.
Used some DIY ramps to drive up & lift the front & jacks to stabilize.
First time I ever lifted it, but the install went easy (2 out of 10). Instructions were better than expected,
but were a little misleading for the F3-T.

    Is it Practical? ...No.
Will it protect the front in a crash? ...Nope (at least not for anything faster than 10mph)
    Is it expensive? YES
Does it lower your front clearance? YES

Do I regret buying? ABSOLUTELY NOT. I LUV IT. Would do it all over again in a heartbeat

Its for show, pure and simple. And it looks amazing.
Can’t wait to throw on some different light options on it than the default ones,
but haven’t decided on anything specific yet.

How many inches (overall length) does this guard add to the F3?? I have very limited space in my car and a half garage. Thank you.
