We got some snow here, in Vermont. ( off topic we went for a ride on the sleds today) back on topic, the snow we got was heavy and wet. The temps were colder, than we have been getting. This week the temps in the 20's.

Valley Springs AR: Starting the day with almost 40 and partly sunny. Guessing we will see 50's later. Regardless, we are going to ride a bit. Linda will be piloting her new 2020 F3L for the first time. I put 20 "test" miles on it the other day...and it's looking good.
EDIT: We did 80 more miles (now up to 100), and she is loving it.
I guess we did good.

A Sunshine Day and cold at 24°F. All of the snow is gone today. Weather People are saying that we might have some freezing rain and snow this weekend. Time will tell if this happens.
High today only 30°F with sunshine, low of 27°F.

High today in the desert S.W. was 74F. We had a little rain early yesterday morning then cloudy all day. Today was sunny and breezy. The rest of the week looks wet and cool. Went for a 180 mile ride with 5 friends today. We did some mountain and valley riding. Saw temperatures ranging from a low of 52 to a high of 74. Handlebar grip heaters on, heaters off, heaters on, heaters off..... Stay safe..... Jim

Here where I am in South Oz, the next few days are forecast to be tad hot, 40° C -ish or better; all due to the latest cyclone, Cyclone Lucas pushing its remnants deep into the far side of the country a few thousand kms away to the North West.... Need some butterflies a coupla thousand kms off to the North East to move around a bit and give us a bit of a cooling breeze! Oh, hang on; they've got their own cyclone remnants to contend with - Cyclone Kimi..... I guess I'll just hafta ryde early or late - at least we don't hafta contend with cyclones down here! Not yet, anyway!!
Tonight, the temps will drop. The cold air is coming from Canada. This weekend will be a cold one. Next week the temps will moderate to the 20'& 30's.
We have had a very mild winter so far here in the North East. ( off topic, the sledding season has started off to a very low start, the sledding season is a very short season anyway). Back on topic, only 49 days until spring!

I haven't rode my Spyder in a couple of weeks and am starting to go through withdrawal. I might have to put on my Ski pants, bundle up, and just go for a ride.

Got a little warm today; still shaded temps pushing the high 40's (°C) but at 1m up, the air temp reflected up off of the ground was 20+° higher! Not a real great day to see this looming as the evening draws in!

That's a fire, with the setting sun just visible thru the smoke to the right of it - and there really isn't all that much 'distance' between us'n it!! It's a few kms off at best; we were getting still glowing ash showers drifting over as I took that pic!!
But the latest news is that the wind has swung around 90° to SSE, so now it's heading off into the far right of that pic & away from us..... and straight towards the Aged Care Facility where my 96 y/old Mother is in care!!
At least there's about 15 km of fairly open & cleared country between the fire front & the next settled area, and my Mother's Care Facility is another 5 kms or so further into that, so there's a bit of a buffer that way, and all the roads between us & her are already closed anyway. But there's a 180° wind shift heading in now, should hit us within the hour & with any luck, that'll turn the fire front right back on itself. The wind shift is being fairly closely followed by a solid rain front, which should hit the fire within a couple of hours of the wind change, so we are keeping a fairly close watch..... gonna be a looong night tho!
The desert S.W. is experiencing thunder showers today. Woke up this morning by big booming. Highs will only be 55. This is expected to last through Tuesday. Very glad to see rain but wish it would only happen at night so we could ride during the day. Put the bike on the tender until Chief Thunder Cloud moves on..... Jim

Thanks for that - all happened as forecast, the early am wind change turned the fire back on itself; rain front followed it thru & knocked the worst of the spreading fire; a couple of houses & out-buildings were lost, but no lives lost or injuries so far.
The fire is still burning in heavy & inaccessible bush, but there's over 200 Firies out on the containment lines and they're bringing in the next wave of fire-bombers as I type, hoping to hit it hard. Sorta need to tho; thunderstorms & gale force winds heading our way tonight/early tomorrow, and it's gonna be stinking hot again within a day or so!!
Valley Springs AR: We are one state South of the snow/sleet/freezing rain line. A couple of thunder storms rolled through here earlier this AM. We received a lot rain.

Today in the desert S.W. we had rain, hail, and SNOW! Parts of the Valley of the Sun actually saw some snow today. A cold front came through bringing the white stuff with it. Right now at 4PM my computer says it is 37F in Mesa, AZ. This is extremely unusual for us. I live at 1,500 feet in elevation and the higher hills around me have a dusting of white. The good news is I can see blue sky moving in from the west and the sun is starting to come out. Everything will be dry in an hour or two..... Jim

In the Sierra Nevada they have stopped using inches to measure the predicted snow amounts for the next series of storms----- Yes, they are now predicting in FEET of snow. I took a long look at my Spyder today---- as I was working on the snowblowers.

Needed to get some errands done this morning. Temperature was a chilly 21°F with heavy frost on the truck windshield.
