Tune or no tune
Anyone have any 1st hands experience using a Dynojet PV3 tuner compared to a throttle position module from Slingmod??

As far i can tell, throttle position module, just opens the gasvalve quicker, not gaining extra torque/ horsepower, but a tune via ECU, unleashes the horses in your motor.
I have no 1st hand experience with the throttleposition thingy, but I flashed my ecu by a Dutch Race specialist, who made a tune right on te ecu, and that makes a huge (read HUGE) difference.
Factory wise, the engine is not showing it's full potential..
Only my two cents, The tune, and a straightpipe with an akropovic endpipe, no cat, are my two motor mods, and man this thing goes, use only premium fuel tho, as it's readily available here, in the netherlands
the funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it........

I have both. The PV3, with a custom made map, really woke up the machine. Also got a bit better mpg's to boot. The PC made the throttle input much more responsive. Best of both worlds. Picking one, I'd still go with the tune over the PC, as it increases overall performance.

Hello Troop, just curious, throttle control isn't that making the machine a bit nervous... I mean less throttlemovement by right hand, don't know the right words..
I just worrie, that taking off, with a pv, makes the spyder less uncontrollable
HAHAHA, i see, you drive the same spyder as myself, also 2019 F3S....

I use city mode the majority of time, with sport mode on occasion. Personally, I do find sport + too twitchy with the tune, for my tastes. Come spring, I might try loading the stock tune, and see how it feels in sport +

Thanks for fast reply troop, but is city mode, not just as usual, cause I find throttle range not an issue on a f3. I Am just wondering as I saw the video, of "the vlogger", and he was really enthousiastic bout the pc

Thanks for all the input. I was leaning more to the PV3 tuner , just wanted more info.

Re: PC City mode. There is a definite increase in throttle response in City vs OEM. Sport and Sport + are next levels of responsiveness beyond City with 30+ steps to fine tune.

PC simply opens the electronic throttle further than you actually rotate it,but still only to fully open.We used to call these 1/4 turn throttles back in the old days. They make bike feel faster but ECM tune actually makes it go faster.I do feel that the Spyder throttle is a very slow opening part but I wouldnt pay a couple hundred bucks for something I can do by twisting my wrist further,JMO.

pv3 did not work for me It removed my stock map and left me dead in the water call dyno jet they said they can;t help me so they refund my money ,had to go to my spyder service store to reinstall the stock map cost $350.00. I would send it out to wick it to have it flashed they will stand behind there work

Had 1/4 turns on all my dirt bikes and ATV. Takes some getting used to because trouble happens fast. Trees brush and rocks are not forgiving by any means. Never had any 1/4 turns on my street machines. No ECU's in those days. Everything was direct-drive and easy and inexpensive to repair.
