Trailer wiring advice
2020 RT Limited
I have the (4 wire) plug and play bike side wiring harness from TrailerEtc (https://traileretc.com/product/2018-...iring-harness/)
Tail-Stop / Gnd. / L Turn / R Turn
My trailer is 5 wire:
Stop / Tail / Gnd. / L Turn / R Turn
What do I need to do to to get the bike to mate to the trailer? Also, I have an email in to Pierre @ TrailerEtc looking for his advice, as well.
Thanks in advance... Ken

Google: 4 pin connector to 5 pin connector
E Trailer has the explanation I believe you need.

Amazon has some trailer connector for 4 pin to 5-7 pin harnesses.

Great timing, I was just reading a similar link on their website.

This is NOT what TxKrc has, I'm willing to bet. In a five wire trailer the turn signals are amber and wired separately from the brake lights. The brake lights are fed by a single wire. The best approach is to get a 4 to 5 wire adapter and connect it into the trailer wiring. If TxKrc does not care about keeping the amber turn signals then run separate wires to the two brake lights and connect them to the right turn/brake and the left turn/brake.
Another approach is to change the bike side harness to a 5 wire trailer harness.
