Is BUDS required when replacing parking brake motor
Need to replace parking brake motor including removal of cable pulley. Will i need BUDS to adjust the install?? Also What is the function of the micro switch which is located at the upper portion of the pulley. 2015 F3-S-se6
Thanks H

No, this does not require BUDS. IF you do the install without turning on the ignition until the parking brake is adjusted.
The microswitch tells the ECM when the parking brake is set.

When you get a new motor is it already set on E brake, so you can install and adjust? If not how could you rotate to the on position with out turning the key on? Just asking for future knowledge, in case I end up in a jam!! Thanks
