Default BRP has a new front drive sprocket.

Looking at the parts list from BRP I found that they changed the front sprocket for the RT and F3 built after September of 2020. The new sprocket part number is 705503239 and list price is $114.99.
Started checking due to my wife's 2018 F3 sprocket is covered in red dust.

New part #'s do not necessarily mean a re-engineered part. Though in this case, I would suspect this to be the case. BRP also changes part #'s when they change suppliers. Same part, different source.

In this case, BuRP DID change the part to make it slightly quieter. The new front pulley is one of the (2) (and ONLY 2) changes between the early and late 2021s. (The other change is a little more sound deadening in the RT fairing.)

Oh Crap. Are there more front sprocket problems we need to worry about ? I would have hoped all those issues were put away by now.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

No sadly, BRP gives the gift that keeps on giving, I saw a 2020 RT in a workshop last week for the front sprocket according to one of the staff. My 17 RTL will have its 3rd front in the new year
