I have a Touratech for my Zumo XT and it's great. Cheaper option here .. https://robertbeckerdesign.com/gps-locks/ and add one of these to the RAM arm .. https://www.rammount.com/part/RAP-S-KNOB3U

Whenever I am worried about mine, I unclip it and toss it in the frunk. 2012 Zumo660.

    Thanks Troop.
I can't see how this would work? Can you help me understand how to secure a GPS with it?

I've always found that OOSOOM works for me.
Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind.
To be specific, the typical Zumo mounts and dismounts very easily. I take it off and lock it up in my frunk with my helmet.
I know, this is probably contrary to what you were hoping for.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

Yup .. The Touratech is expensive, but it is very beefy and rock solid. No cheap locking mechanisms. The rubber dampened cradle keeps things secure. The GPS will be ruined by the time a thief gets it out of that cradle. I do remove my Zumo XT at night while traveling, but I'm not worried about it during the day..

Recently acquired a used KradelLock thx RedRTS https://robertbeckerdesign.com/gps-locks/. Even better contacted them & they were able to swap the lock to match the lid lox Quite handy & less key confusion. Before that would lock in frunk if felt the need, also found a security pin# in settings. Simple 4 digit lock code & or special location. Felt little more secure, if forgot to put away. Zumo660

The oem mount has a block with locking “fingers” that Hold unit in place the Kradellock uses large plate that locks flush on top & prevents movement.

Oem fingersB74F5A53-BC08-457B-95C0-85B0B72A8204.jpg really like did not have to undo any wires or connections, just remove Oem bolts & replace with the longer ones provided

Bud has one of these, basically same, not as robust, has cam lock arm that prevents oem lock button movement.

& happy with It however, think could not match keys for unit & knobs?

Too rich for my blood- I just use a RAM X-Grip and put the gps in my jacket pocket when I need to. Yep - Business Aviation specifically.
