Observations from the first 90 miles on Vredesteins
A day with patches of frost on the road is probably not the best time to try out new tires. Nonetheless, I ventured out for a little ride today, so these are the things I noticed with the new Vredesteins.
1. Quiet, smoother
2. They follow the road camber more, drifting to the lower side.
3. Steering input and vehicle response seem to be 1:1 and immediate. The Kendas always felt 50ms behind the input and would then overreact. Another way of describing the Kenda response is mushy. The Vredesteins turn in very nicely.
4. Lighter steering
I started with 17.6# pressure since they were inflated inside my 65° shop, and the outside temp was 46°.

I like the way the Vredesteins handle-- put them on about 9 months ago.

The real reason I'm responding is the bike in your avatar. That was my first bike. I seriously hopped it up too.

If you're a spirited ryder you'll notice the difference when you hit a curve at 35 over the posted warning and get thru flawlessly. I'm running 18,5-19.0 up front. Any lower and RT feels mushy.
Also, now that you have the tires, get a laser align which may help with the tracking.

I think almost anything over stock will be a improvement.

Well those Q-5's are far and away the best there is today, especially if you ride at colder temps .... they are one of the few " all-season " tires that a " snow-flake " embossed on the sidewall ..... which for spyder owners means they still handle great at lower temps .... Mike
