No Cost Raffle!
As you can see, the mileage on my 2008 GS SM5 Spyder is 34,678.6 miles. I have not ridden it since the raffle began and I purposefully did not look at the odometer mileage because I didn't want to know, (it is always set to trip mileage so total miles do not appear). Of course, I had a general ballpark idea.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
With all that has accosted us this year. I wanted to do something lighthearted and fun as the holidays approach. This is what I came up with. A No Cost Raffle!
I just designed and purchased some Custom BajaRon clocks. These are high quality, 18" clocks from The Big Clock Store. You can find out more about these clocks with the link below. I am not being paid or receiving any commission from this store. They have no idea what I am doing with the clocks they are making for me. I just appreciate a high quality product made in America by a family business. This raffle is designed to promote nothing more than a fun event.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFIU...eBigClockStore
Here is a list of the particulars for the raffle.
Updates!
I've made a few changes to this No Cost Raffle. Hopefully, making it easier and more transparent for everyone.
1- You will now post here on Spyderlovers.com instead of to my email address.
2- We will use the Spyderlovers.com Date & Time Stamp data for all entries. However, this will be for EST. Your date/time stamp will reflect your local time zone. So, if you are in California and post at noon, it will shoe 3pm at my end (EST). You will need to factor this in. It's the only way to start and end the raffle at the same time for everyone. International contestants will have to factor this in as well. The raffle still begins at 0800 hours on Thanksgiving day (11/26/20) EST and ends at 2000 hours on 12/02/20 EST. Hopefully, this will not be too big a hurdle for anyone. Google is your friend if you're not sure.
Cost: No Cost Raffle
Raffle Items: (2) BajaRon Custom Performance 18" Clocks (1 Each Per Winner)
Starts: Thursday, November 26th (Thanksgiving Day), at 0800 hrs., EST (that's 8 am to the rest of you). Any entries received before this date and time will not be accepted.
Ends: Exactly 1 week. Wednesday evening, December 2nd at 2000 hrs., (8 pm) EST. Any entries received after this date and time will not be accepted.
Date/Time Stamp Used: We will use the Spyderlovers.com Date & Time Stamp Data on my account which records everything at EST (EASTERN STANDARD TIME).
Eligibility: You must be a registered SpyderLovers.com member. A requirement to be able to post anyway.
How to Enter: Enter your mileage guess here on Spyderlovers.com. Edited entries WILL NOT BE COUNTED! So make sure you get it right the 1st time.
How often can I enter?: Each contestant will be allowed to post (1) guess each day of the raffle (7 days). Each day will consist of midnight to midnight except for the 1st And last days which begin at 0800 hrs. and end at 2000 hours. Each day's entry must be received by midnight of that day with the exception of the last day. If you miss a day, you miss 1 entry.
Winners: I will post a picture of my odometer mileage will be posted here on Spyderlovers.com after the No Cost Raffle has ended. The (2) Winners will be notified within a few days of the end of the raffle. Shipping information will be requested at that time.
Shipping: There will be no shipping costs to the winners in the 48 US states. Alaska, Hawaii and International winners will be charged whatever the difference is between a domestic shipment and actual costs to their location.
Adjustments: If, for any reason, a winner does not take their clock. The next closest contestant will be contacted. Winners should have their clock before Christmas.
Unaccepted Guesses: Only guesses sent in the prescribed manner will be accepted. Guesses posted my Facebook store or elsewhere will not be accepted.
Now to the meat of this raffle. I am going to take a photo of the current odometer mileage on my Can-Am Spyder. Entrants will send me guesses (up to 1 each day) as to what that mileage is. The 2 contestants closest to my actual mileage will be the winners. Guesses over or under the actual mileage will be accepted and counted in this raffle. Guesses will go to 10ths of a mile. If no 10ths are given. A Zero tenths will be assigned to that guess.
My Spyder is a 2008 GS which I received in January of 2008. I rode it quite a bit for the first few years I owned it. But as the business grew, I've been able to ride less and less. There were several years where I was not able to ride at all. So take this information into consideration as you make your guesses.
The usual boilerplate rules will apply to this raffle. No relatives, employees, etc. will be able to participate.
The reason for this 'Pre-Notice' is to give you the chance to ask questions and me to answer them so that everyone can be on the same page by the time this raffle begins.
My purpose is to show appreciation for all the support I've received over the years from the great riders here on Spyderlovers.com. And to have some fun with a one of a kind, unique item that most people could put to use.

I plan to post a picture of the clocks before the raffle starts. I thought about posting the mock-up picture that I have. But decided that since they will deliver a few days before Thanksgiving, I'll just wait and post pictures of the real deal.

What a nice thing to do for us Ron. I won't be entering because I have absolutely no place to hang a clock that large. Maybe on the front of the house so the neighbors will always know what time it is. Naw!
Ours is a red, black and chrome 2017 F3 Limited. Bought new in 2/2019. The avatar is my first bike back in 1952, a Simplex Servi-Cycle. Photo taken at the Barber Museum.

Do you have a big dog? Maybe he would like a clock in his house?
I hope to get pictures up today.

You should enter. All you have to do is come up with numbers. Any number is pretty much as good as the rest. I never win either. But it's the fun of the adventure, not necessarily the destination.
I will be giving a few more hints before Thursday's game start.

Nothing fancy. I wanted something more dynamic. But nothing wrong with a simple clock. Not something your wife will probably let you hang in the bedroom or dining area. But great for a ship or ???.

No big dog, but I do have a doghouse I get relegated to for misbehaving. No wall space left - they are covered with photos of Sophia Loren.

Final hint.
Mileage is between 15k & 55k. Entries can be to the 10th of a mile. Make all entries in Miles. Entries in Kilometers will not be accepted. Nothing against metric. Just trying to keep it simple!
Remember, raffle begins tomorrow at 0800 hours based on the Spyderlovers time stamp.

Hmmm...
The raffle started 2 hrs. and 34 minutes ago. No one has posted their first entry. But, then again, it's Thanksgiving. Much more important than this raffle.
I wish everyone a very happy and blessed holiday.

Yes, sorry for the confusion. I edited the rules and changed this requirement. All entries need to be posted to this thread here on Spyderlovers.com. I felt this would be easier for most as well as more transparent. It will avoid someone sending their entry to the wrong email address and not getting counted (typo, etc.) Also, having entries posted to my email would prevent people from being able to audit the process and have to take my word for it. I wanted to be as open and transparent with this as possible.
This is my first raffle. It, like most things, turned out to be more complicated than I thought.
