Default Recommend or suggest any All-in-one portable air pumps?

I have a 2016 F3-T and need to fill my rear shock from time to time. I'd also like to be able to refill my tires on the road. I bought a hand pump that works great for my shock, but it won't air up my tires. I have a 12v attachment on my handlebar and am looking for recommendations for a good portable pump that I can use for both my tires and shock.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a Ryobi One+ portable inflator that I use for all my vehicles. It is easy to use, convenient, portable and no wires or plugs-ins to deal with. It will top off my car and truck tires. Battery powered by 5AH battery. The biggest drawback is that it is the size of an electric drill so may not travel well for you. I tried smaller portable inflators which were not up to the task and/or failed to last..... Jim

You should be certain the 12V attachment is fused to handle the current draw of the inflator you purchase or you're liable to toast some wiring.

Exactly what I was thinking JayBros. Glad you brought that up. A toasted loom would be far and away more fatal than a low-pressure tire.

I carry five CO2 bottles that I picked up at a bicycle shop and I have a splitter that you hook the CO2 bottle up to and then you can hook it up to the stem of your tires or your shock. With the small knob on the splitter you can control the rate of flow and even turn it off and remove the whole system. The small CO2 bottle will contain it’s charged for about a week as long as you leave it attached to the splitter device. I carry it all in a small pouch with a tire plug kit. Works very well. I wish they made an air system that didn’t leak. An onboard pump would be nice.

    Plarimer...

If you have a leak in your system, fix it and the only issues you will have is temperature and altitude. As for the pumps, many here have reported them failing and they are expensive. I bought the 2017 F3T over the F3L for the added power. I figured I could add the pump if I wanted. I ride mostly one up and have found my perfect psi setting. My system doesn't leak.

harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/compact-air-compressor-with-light/p/12700020 Very good size for our needs, plus extremely efficient. Ok price, and easy to find at your nearest HD shop.

Hello, I was looking for one as well. Question about the Aerostich. I noticed it is pretty open. Is that a concern at all?

    Timd35,

No the openness isn't a problem, has nice hanging strap and will fill not only tires but is gentle enough to adjust the air bag on rear suspension. Ann and Joe Meyer use theirs at every laser alignment that they do!!

The biggest killer of these 'compact compressors' (well, after poor quality/construction, anyway! ) is over-heating during operation; so that 'openness' really isn't a concern at all!! In fact, it's a REAL ADVANTAGE!!

Because the Aerostitch compressor is so open, it'll get rid of excess heat a helluva lot better'n most of the alternatives that you see around the place encased in placcy or metal boxes, and by doing that, it gets to minimise any over-heating issues & so run better for longer! And they DO generally work real good! Plus, the open-ness you're concerned about IGET helps them keep on doing that well past most of the opposition offerings!

You could do a lot worse than get one of them!

You are correct, mine was the weather related as we are going through several temperature changes here in Nebraska. But for some reason after pumping it up to 28 pounds it is stayed there since.

We love this thing! Well over 1000 uses, we got our money’s worth in spades! Still going strong, no one has an excuse to not have properly inflated tires. The size of a tennis ball, takes up no room. Get one!!

Since the Spyder has an auto tire in the rear and the aerostitch looks like a good pump with excellent reviews, can it be used with a Jeep Wrangler with stock tires? I ask b/c when I go to amazon.com there are many offerings and each one of them have a lot of 1 stars.

Wylec, don't know why they wouldn't work. Would need a 25 foot extension on the battery hook up to get to the rear tires.
