    Default R.I.P. James Bond

Not the fictional one .... the REAL one - Sean Connery ............... 90 years young .... As a lad, I had already read a few of Ian Flemings novels .... and was thrilled when they came out with a Movie version....... Whenever I hear the name " James Bond " .... His face comes to mind ..... Yes there were many others some good, some weak, but to me Sean was the best ....... Mike

Yeah. I mean, Sir Sean was 90 and in poor health so he wasn't long for this world but it was still a shame to hear he passed. He was one of my cinematic heroes. He was opinionated (he felt 200% that Scotland should be a country, independent from England...had a "Scotland Forever" tattoo since his teens...wouldn't even let that opinion go when he was knighted by HRH Queen Elizabeth II...that's sticking to your guns!) but he wasn't mean or rude about it. Great actor, won 3rd place in the '53 Mr. Universe contest, etc. He will be missed even though he retired from acting long ago.

    RIP, Sir Sean Connery.

In my opinion, there was only 1 007 (James Bond), and that was without doubt, Sean Connery. All of the others were wannabe’s....NOT the real thing.

RIP Sir Sean. We lost another great one. IMO: he was by far, the best Agent 007. Others just did not seem to have his class.

I also enjoyed many of his other movies, and thought he was great in the Indiana Jones movie, League of Extraordinary Men, and Outland. He was great, regardless of the genre played.

I was doing the sport car thing in the 60s and 70s and the DB5 was one of my unattainable favorites. Aston Martin recently produced this.....
