Default Anyone heard of GOOLOO Emergency jump starters? Any good?

Does anyone know of, or heard of the GOOLOO emergency jump starters? Are they any good? Is there something better? They appear to be quite small and easy to carry on your Spyder. They’re being sold by Amazon. I’m thinking as a Christmas gift. They appear to be suited for motorcycles, automobiles, diesel vehicles. Anybody any experience?

Never heard of GOOLOO, but there's a ton of different brands out there. From all accounts they work well. Especially for something with a
little battery like the Spyder has. I have one, and loaned to my stepson, and he reported it worked well to start a buddy's truck.

I think I paid $50 or so for mine. It's 400 amps peak, They're priced all over the place. Pick one and check the charge every once
in a while. They hold a charge for a very long time.

We have several (one for each of us) HALO jump starters from Amazon. Of course, we have the deluxe model with a small inverter built-in, there is a cheaper model without the inverter.

Ours have been used on a variety of vehicles, from my wife's RAV4 to my Sienna, to a friend's Chevy pickup. Oh, yeah, a bike or three has been started as well. Even after several uses on the same day (car battery had a shorted cell), it was still able to crank the car over just fine.

Yeah, I have an Antigravity starter, and I know that it works, however when I went to Amazon the GOOLOO came up, and I’ve never heard of GOOLOO, hence my post about GOOLOO.

The Rugged Geek I purchased from Lamonster works fine on both Spyder and wife's Toyota Highlander whose battery didn't last as long as original Spyder one and had twice the miles of Toyota.

Lamonster sells battery jump devices. Personally, I'd spend a little more money and buy from one of our site sponsers (and the site OWNER, even). If there was a problem with it in the future, I'd think Lamont would stand behind his product better than Amazon. Of course, I buy TONS of stuff from Amazon. I bought a bike cover from them about 2 weeks ago. The wrong one showed up so I returned it for another. Wrong one showed up AGAIN. I returned it and bought one from Lamonster. It fits as well as any. Just my .02 cents.

That's a good suggestion to buy from sponsors. I avoid Amazon, and usually buy from Ebay if possible. No sense in giving
Jeff any more of my money than necessary.

Fully understandable, but I've been buying off Ebay for over 20 years and never been burned. Some deals didn't turn out the way I wanted, but I've never lost
a dime. Just a f'rinstance: We ordered a rear trunk for Peggy's scooter, good price and free shipping, but it was way too big when it came in. Size was plainly
listed in the add, but we thought it would work, nope. We contacted the seller, explained the problem, and he paid for the return shipping even though he wasn't
obligated to. But some people have had issues, so it has it's downside too.

I just used one I bought from Harbor Freight and worked well for me. My car battery would not start my car. Pulled it out of my trunk that I charged a year ago. It was still fully charged. Pressed the button and got back in my car and started right up.

Used it a few more times before I got a new battery.

It is small and came with a carrying case with the cable and jump pack.

The sponsors should have jump paks too.

Had it for 14 month, used on spyder couple of times, still hold 100% charge after months of sitting. It also has digital volt meter on the cable and charges electronics via usb if needed.

    Default battery jumper

    bigbadbrucie

Just a FWIW; if you are going to use this on your spyder I would recommend that you take a trip to your favorite hardware store and purchase Hex head Stainless longer bolt and a # 6 stainless nut and a star washer with the rough part on the outer edge. My reasoning is that most of the jumpers that you will find have large enough jumper clamps that they won't fit nor stay on the original battery bolt. The extended length of the stainless bolt gives you a good attachment point for the jumper cables. Plus the extended length allows easier attachment of accessory jumpers if you are not using a fuse block for your add ons.

I had 2 anti gravity chargers, a bigger one that I carry in my truck and a smaller one that I carry in the spyder. The smaller one started to bulge so I replaced it with a gooloo. I haven't had to use it yet but am looking forward to trying it out.

I have an Antigravity that I carry in my RT, but have never had to use it on my unit, however I have boosted a Harley or 2 with it. I hadn’t even considered the fitment problem on the Spyder....Thanks for the heads up. Much appreciated.

I have the Rugged Geek from Lamonster too. I've used it a half dozen times on various things, including a Spyder at a rally once. Handy tool to have, and so compact.

I tend to agree. I’m totally surprised that apparently only one other has heard of GOOLOO, especially since that was the first one shown by Amazon Prime, and they showed several different GOOLOO offerings.
