    Default Brakes before my trip

I need to do a brake job before the trip next month. Don't want bad brakes in the mountains I can't find any place on line that has Spyder brakes. Whats up with that. I know BRP or my local dealer will rack me over the coals. Like they did buying oil for my spyder. I will use the dealer only as the last resort.

Better get prepared for the last resort. The only aftermarket brake pads I am aware of are the ones EBC announced. Unfortunately, according to their reseller, they won't actually be available for several months. I would have installed some this weekend if I could have obtained them.

I'm not sure if it's unreasonable or not but I paid $25 per set of BRP pads from my dealer. $75 total for all new Spyder brake pads. At the time, I was happy to pay it but I never priced motorcycle brake pads before.

    I think that's typical...cheaper than BMW pads.

I have just been quoted $450 for a set of the new BRP pads here in Oz
