BRP cover ... with flagpoles? Can that be done?
Title says it all.
I have the BRP cover for my RT-L and want to add the flagpoles that mount on the trunk like the Rivco ones. Is there a way to modify the cover?
I dont want to cut blindly holes in a $175 cover.
Are there different (maybe folding) flagpoles I should be looking at?
Thanks

Put the cover on the Spyder and ensure it is correctly positioned. Mark the cover exactly where the flag poles will protrude through the cover. Draw a circle 1-2" in diameter around the point where the flag poles will protrude. Take the cover to a sail maker, canvas crafter or upholstery shop, have them cut the holes and reinforce the inside and outside of the cover with appropriate material. You can do it yourself if you have access to a sewing machine.

Does your cover not have holes for the antennas? Mine does and I can put both antenna and pole on the right thru it and pole thru on the left.

My Nelson-Rigg half cover has the same antenna holes but I believe the Rivco flag poles are somewhat farther aft but am not certain. The OP would also have the problem of necessity for a radio antenna hole in addition to flag pole holes.

Wow ... made me run out and check. That would have been too easy, but alas... no. There is a hole for the radio antenna, but no others.

Jay I have the Rivco poles and flags on my Spyder. Ibought my cover from a member here and don't remember if it is a BRP or Dowco but it has holes on each side for an antenna and they will accomodate the right side antenna as well. I will post a picture later

Looking at the Rivco flag mounts in this link, https://www.rivcoproducts.com/shop/c...-am-spyder-rt/, the OP can probably lay his cover on the floor and measuring off his Spyder mark the cover within a half inch of where he needs to make flag pole holes using the antenna holes in the cover as the starting point.
