I wanted to replace my headlight/fog with fanless led and all I found were 40w kit.
I know that RS lights are 30watts but do you think extra 10w will create too much heat???
Thank you in advance.
40 watt actual or 40 watt equivalent? If 40 watt equivalent then the actual wattage will be far less than the 30 watt OEM incandescent bulbs. So, no problem. LED lights use much less power than incandescent lights do.

I can't speak to the Spyder headlight reflectors but on virtually every motorcycle OEM lens, the LEDs will cause dazzle for oncoming drivers and rarely adds distance due to the difference of how the LEDs illuminate vs OEM HIDs. My point is if you want to increase your visibility to oncoming cars in daylight, go for it. But if you expect better night vision, it's unlikely to throw light farther down the road.

Several sponsors of this site have put together different combinations of LED headlights and foglights that work extremely well. Can be a pain to install, but the finished product is far superior to the stock setup.
You are correct in that just any LED that fits does not always work out.
I say stay away from them. I don't think the angle socket will fit in the light housing. The heat sink looks seriously inadequate. The price tells you they are cheap, cheap, cheap. If the driver is built into the base I doubt it's a very good driver. The ones we know work have a much better heat sink or fan and an external driver.
Spend the money. Get good ones as has been mentioned above.

My riding buddy and I purchased the Extreme LED kits from XenonDepot (https://www.xenondepot.com/) on a 2013 RT-S and a 2014 RT-L. Bit of a learning curve on installation, but the end result was well worth it.
Big difference to road illumination at night and vehicle visibility by day.
I wanted fanless LED and beamtech was pretty much the only choice but adapter or the clip they sent isn’t gonna work. I’m still working with them to get the right one and they sent a pic of a clip that’s identical to the stock asking if that’s the one I have so I’m hopeful.
aka, what Spyder are you wanting to put these into?

Do you know what the standard bulb designation is? Is it a H7? The BRP part # is 219400069 but I don't find what the H designation is.

I take it then a plain H7 doesn't lock into the housing. Weird. That does complicate finding an LED replacement. Does the OEM have the clip? If so, can you not use it on a replacement h7?

No, h7 itself has no locking mechanism and vehicle manufacturers have their own clips.
Led has much bigger housing so stock clip won’t fit but beamtech knows which factory clip I have now and they are sending the “correct”(hopefully) clip so we shall see.
I will post once I receive the new clip.
