How do you figure this is your fault? If you used the proper sized Torx and it wasn't made out of aluminum, then the part that is at fault is the drain plug.
Unless you were using a 2-foot cheater and couldn't feel that the bit was going to turn in the bolt. Just don't tell them you were turning it the wrong direction.

Use a ratchet and always, always, always check its rotation before putting it on the fastener. Especially when loosening down facing fasteners. 9 guys out of 10 will turn one the wrong way. I know, I trained repairmen.

Bro, I've done far worse. Search for my username and read some of my threads. To say I'm mechanically challenged would be putting it mildly. If all you did was twist a drain plug the wrong way, you're still having a better day than most of mine.

I deleted the post because a half hour later I fixed it. Applying as much pressure to the wrench as I could, before it would slip, I smacked the wrench with a hammer (not in the turning direction, but down into the bolt), much like the old manual impact drivers we used to use. On about the third hit the plug broke free. No worries for anyone posting here. You can't be as hard on me as I can.

I hear you loud and clear on that one. I am my own worst critic. I even swear at me!
So glad it all worked out good and well. When I did my first oil change, I too, had to "pop" the plugs loose.

Most of us have been there and done that when it comes to anything crazy with the Spyder.
