The pivoting on the axis or the slight pivoting of the rod connections to the brake pedal would possibly show some wear in about a million miles. The brake is not in constant use. For 99.99% of the time it is just sitting there in the neutral position waiting to be pressed. After about the 4th or 5th new engine, you might need to check the wear on the brake pedal pivots. Putting just about any kind of lubricant on the pedal pivot that might reduce wear, would also attract dirt and grit, holding it in place and doing more harm than good. Bearings in the brake pedal pivot of my model appear to be sealed bearings. There is normally no need to lubricate sealed bearings. They are pre-lubed before the seals are installed.
