Red face So, who said a Ryker can't be a touring machine?

I thought that title would get your attention

    Here is all you need:

    1. A good throttle lock (Atlas)

    2. Seat cushion and sheepskin

    3. Saddlebags and back supporting pillion bag

    4. Cell phone holder for phone w/GPS functions

    5. Floorboards

    Optional:

    1.Drink holder

Nice job. Exactly what I set mine up for. As for the seat, I use an Airhawk on those longer trips.

Although many cycles are not designed for touring, that does not stop the creative from making them so.

I did it for years, before there were actual "touring" bikes. Including my 2008 GS and 2009 RS. It was not easy finding stuff for them...but I did anyway.

When 2010 rolled around, I bought an RT, made for touring.

Others have also modified Rykers. The ones I have seen look good. Including the OP's.

Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.

    Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)

MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles

IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.

Yes I have turned my Rally into a touring machine. No floor boards yet. And for cold weather I have heated gloves that are hardwired to the bike - VERY toasty on chilly days.

    Enjoy

With your fuel tank capacity and actual MPG's, what is your real world traveling range per tank full ? What kind of mileage do you get at 75'sh mph ?

Very nice Ryker man! You aren't too far from me - I'm on the Southside of Indy.

Ryker looks great- has to be the best proportioned luggage setup Ive seen to date. Not over sized for the Ryker.

Isn't running down low on fuel, rough on the fuel pump? On the other hand over filling may be worst. Start at 10:50.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inxsCGcBH1Y I would think this would concern us Ryker owners. Sorry, I got this off track. I'm looking for a small waterproof case for air cartridges, 12V pump, & gooey worms. to fit securely up tight under max mount, under the seat. I ride solo.

"Isn't running down low on fuel, rough on the fuel pump?"
Depends on what you mean by running low? Low Fuel Light on ? Not gonna hurt a thing. Running till empty? Yeah .. That isn't good for the fuel pump. I'm thinking (hoping?) that the Can-Am engineers were smart enough to design the fuel system to keep enough fuel in the tank for the fuel pump, but too low to let the Spyder run.

"On the other hand over filling may be worst"

I dunno. I personally never had an issue by by burping my tank too full when fueling.

Thanks, I purchased them from Amazon a couple of years ago for a Moto Guzzi Griso 1200. I ended up going with another setup on the Griso (smaller bags), and these ended up in the closet never being used. So when I started looking for luggage solutions for the Ryker, I remembered that I had these saddlebags stored away and they ended up fitting the bike pretty good. They're almost a perfect match with the Linq top bag.
