Default Zumo 590 wont charge on my 2015 RTSS

I have a Zumo 590 which was installed by the dealer 3 years ago on my 2015 RTSS. It worked fine the last 2 years and now this year it decided it does not want to charge on the base. It goes on the bike with a full charge and 3-4 hours later it shows low battery. The contacts are clean and the mount pins are clean and spring back like they should. The unit sits in the base tight. Any ideas????? Is there a setting in the unit that tells it to charge on the base? Thanks for the help.

Check the fuse that goes from your base to the battery and check the base negative and positive wires to the battery.

If it works properly when you're riding but just doesn't hold a charge, you might just need a new battery.

As suggested, check fuses and connections. FWIW, Garmin replaced the battery under warranty in my 590 with less than a year on it because it would not fully charge during each ride and as I shut down the engine I got a low battery warning on the Zumo screen. They had me charge my Zumo on my computer three successive times and it would never come to a full charge.

    Default Sumo won't charge

Google 'Zumo 590 won't charge' - I did this to mine and it works fine now & keeps a charge
