Handicap Placard/plate for Motorcycle

Does anybody have one? Do they exist? My wife and I were just talking about this. I used to have one for my car, but I no longer have the car.

After looking deeper, it appears those plates are available in Arizona.

I am guessing that all states have HC plates and hang tags available to those with various issues.

Yes, I have plates and hang tags. To be eligible it requires a Doctor to sign the states "official" request for HC plates. The signed Dr. statement is then given to the state DMV office.

They will issue plates for your car and usually one or two hang tags. In my state (AR) they have actual plates for motorcycles for HC. Limit one. For the unplated MC I use a couple clothes pins and attach the hang tag to my windshield when using parking facilities.

Note: I have not had any hang tag off of my motorcycle stolen in 25 years and three states.

I have a HC hang tag for the auto and a HC Motorcycle plate for the Spyder.
As a good measure I copied the hang tag for the auto and printed and laminated a smaller copy that I velcroed to the windshield of the Spyder.
No one has challenged me so far.

I have them on my Honda and my Spyder and have had them for many years on these and other motorcycles as well.

Yeah, I got 2 of the parking tags that supposed to hang from the truck mirror. I never use them on the Spyder, but I guess I could if I wanted to.

I have HC plates on all of my vehicles including Spyder, MC and Can Am Maverick. Too many body parts missing to be without one.

Handicap plates are available for motorcycles in Arizona. Just be prepared to tell people who sneer at you that it is a 3 wheeled motorized mobility vehicle..... Jim

Get the plate,so much easier believe Bob D had a clear sandwich for a placard hanger would lock with the lid lox. Sorry can't find pic, did find my attempt IMG_1130.jpg bolted to windshield bracket on one side & clear packing tape on other to keep from fluttering. Worked just didn't care for & removed. Blessed to not need use spots often enough.

I did the same as Bob had it laminated and a stainless gromit put in the top then ran a cable and locked it to the bike...
worked great for 3 times when I came back to the bike after lunch it was gone lock-cable and hanger plackard....
I went to DMV and got Lic. plates for everything I drive

I have one. I am in California and applied through AAA. Already had a placard for my car, so there was no issue.

Washington (the state not the swamp) issues a number of different disabled parking stickers. A red placard is temporary and valid for one year. A permanent placard is blue and valid for 5 years. You can also get a license plate with the disabled parking emblem on it. In the case of motorcycles, personalized plates or specialty plates they issue a disabled parking tab. In any of these cases, the authorization to use the disabled parking spaces is issued to the person, not the vehicle.

Once a doctor signs off that you have a valid medical condition, you're issued the placards (2), one placard and 1 license plate or 1 placard and one tag. Each of these have an individual number printed on them. The person will then receive in the mail a card that identifies them by name and the numbers of the disabled parking permits covered. The 2 placards are free, but there is a fee if you want the license plate. I don't think you have to pay for the tab.

I don't know about other states, but in Washington, one "perk" to the disabled parking permit is you don't have to plug parking meters if you park on the street.

The sucky part is renewals “permanent” is a loos term for state issue anything here in Louisiana & think the max is 2 years, more forms & dr visit $just for paperwork, (key thing$)might get to mail back to them. Where of course it gets lost & you stuck with expired after the fact information they conveniently make it separate from drivers license. Yes only get a place card & a plate, issued to the person that must have/provide proper mobility ID if ever does come in question.

In Utah a plate or hang tag can be issued. Because of the broken ankle and my wife's knee replacement we were eligible for a temporary (red) hang tag, but not the plate. The plates are available for motorcycles.

I’m in Ohio and have hc plates on my truck, motorcycle, Ryker 3 wheeler, RV, and golf cart. You can’t get one for pull behind trailers. cueman

NC has hang tags and permanent HC tags if certified by a doctor for motorcycles and cages. One oddity is if you get a new/diff vechicle you have to trot back to Doctor's office and get new certification.....unless you sell/trade one, you can transfer the HC to new vehicle. I have a permanent HC tag on my Slingshot and am waiting for DMV to issue one for the Can Am I recently bought. Meanwhile it has a permanent non-HC tag.

I have had one HC tag stolen at a restaurant. Now, instead of the easy screw nylon bolts you can undo with your fingers, I use stainless with nylok nuts.

So far at least, here in British Columbia, Canada I haven’t been able to get anything other than the hanger/placard.i

It appears as tho I spoke too soon, SPARC BC now offer a decal for motorcycles. I’ve just sent a query to them. SPARC BC is the government agency that takes care of the handicap parking.

I have them on my car, truck, RV and Spyder. I have not been asked, but my response would be to ask for HC police badge. It's really no ones business if you have one. People have the plates for both seen and unseen HC's. Get it and never look back.
