    Default No transmission

Bike will shift into first gear but when rolling the throttle back there is a crunching sound. Upon hearing the crunching sound I laid off the throttle and rolled to a stop. This is on a 2015 f 3 s, any ideas I was thinking something went in the tranny.

    or possible shaft broken .

So you are not able to move the Spyder when you hit throttle and you hear the noise?

Sounds like pulley or transmission shaft broken. Podsible clutch too but reports the pulley and or shaft could be your problem.

If you're saying that the front pulley has been replaced before. And that the 1st one spun on the output shaft. I would say that the output shaft splines are damaged and you may continue to spin front pulleys until you replace that output shaft.

I am sure we are not the only ones thinking this same thing. It's a shame. And I hope I'm wrong. But I fear that we are both right on this one. What surprises me is if the dealership replaced the pulley, that they didn't check for spline damage on the output shaft. If there is not output shaft spline damage (which I highly doubt) then to have a 2nd pulley fail points to shoddy work on the install. I just can't see a good scenario on this one no matter how you slice it.

Thanks for input, tried contacting dealer was serviced but found out they are out of business due to covid. With that said I ordered the parts which should be here tomorrow, as long as the out put shaft is good plan to tackle this my self. Would thier be a video somewhere I could see to accomplishes this?

    Thanks

This could go two ways, really good, witch I hope it will, or rough!!! I hope it will just come off once you have the bolt out of it, but if it has spun or started to you may need to make yourself a puller, and the battle will start!!! If you have not done anything like this, find help that has, is my best advise! You will know what you have when you get that bolt out! Have all the parts, paste to put on the spline and pully and make sure you torque to spec! I am wondering if your shop did that!! Good luck and keep us in the loop!!!

If the output shaft looks bad you need to contact BuRP, they should have a the record of the pulley being replaced under warranty. Many shops overlook difficult warranty jobs such as the output shaft because they can't make the factory book time. Best of luck with your machine.
