Newbie
Hey everyone. Just signed on to your forum. Here's my story. Been riding motorcycles for 43 years. At the moment I own 7 of which 2 are sidecar rigs. Something about the Can Am's is calling so I took a MSF course on them last weekend and was really impressed. I know it was only a parking lot but I would say huge difference from what the sidecars do. Anyway I will be in the market for a F3 or RT limited in the near future but hope to lurk around here to do some research first. RIDE SAFE

Welcome to the forum 64deville. I think you came to the right place for information and research. Good luck finding what you like but know you cant go wrong with either one, the best thing to do is sit and try both see what seating position you like best RT or F3.

Go find yourself some place where you can take a nice test ride on both of those style bikes!! Enjoy and have fun!!

Funny thing is my local dealer wont let you test ride thats how I ended up at the MSF class. I did notice more heat on the RT

You don't say where you are in NC but if it's possible to get to Honda of Winston-Salem I believe you could test ride there but a call first would be wise. They have a pretty large inventory and a good service department which is very important to a Spyder owner.

If it was the old body style, you do get a little more heat from them, but you can get some aftermarket deflectors that you can adjust to get air going where you want it! I love my RTL, but I think my next one will be the f3, or new body rt, I am liking the lower sitting into style! Lower center of gravity, easyer to get on for the rider, feels more planted to me!! Good luck

If it was me looking, and I was told that I’d be making rude comments to them and would walk. There are other dealers just begging for your money, and that would be the last they ever saw of me and I’d let it be known far and wide how I was treated. just my humble opinion, what the £§¥k do I know

I haven't been to Honda of Windston-Salem, but I know I helped my husband get his 2014 Spyder RT Limited from Neil Ketner near Winston-Salem and he let both of us test ride I did the test ride first as I already had my Spyder and husband trusted my judgement. Neil gave us a great deal last Oct..

IMO, that rates a direct call to the sales manager or general manager of the dealership explaining you're no fresh motorcycle rube who just fell off the turnip truck and that you've taken the MSF course on a Spyder. One of their best sales guys retired earlier this year and they may have an overabundance of snot-nosed youngsters trying to peddle machines they don't know s**t about. I'll find out for myself next month when I'm due for a brake fluid flush.
