Question Cleaning the Upper air deflectors?

Suggestions for cleaning these little buggers? If you remove them how much of a difference does it make with a stock 2015 windshield?

Assume you mean cleaning the back side. If in a hurry I simply fold a micro fibre cloth wetted with plastic cleaner. In extreme cases but not removing to clean, I may wrap the cloth around a tongue depressor stick.

Removing them is best way to clean, but a bit of effort.

I have ridden with and without them installed. Ultimately have them installed.

A friend, while we were doing other stuff to his Spyder, asked about this too. My suggestion was to scuff the backside with Scotchbrite then wash clean. Wipe down with Iso Alcohol and spray paint the backside black. This gave a sort of black mirror look when seen from most angles and cleaning now is not a concern.

Thats an interesting idea,I wonder if you could put some chrome look wrap material on the back side which would make them look chromed out.Hmmmm.

Like this? The vinyl was as close as a match I could find to match my 15 RT SE....it is on the front side and has survived very well

Yes, they are a royal PIA to clean.

I wonder if WrapMySpyder has such a product.

Any window tint shop can do them. Remove, wash, have tint/mirror/black applied, put back on.
