Default Hot left leg, 2014 RSS

We just acquired this 2014 RSS. My wife is getting burned on the calf of her left leg just above her boot. And she wears leather chaps. Any body have a suggestion on what might cause this? We are riding in Arizona and the ambient temp is above 100deg. Also these are 100mile rides. Takes a while to feel the burn. The burn is just about even with the drive gear.

    Thanks,

Remove the plastic splash panels from the bottom of the Spyder. The ones behind the cross member. This gives somewhere for the hot air to go instead on your leg and up through the front of the seat area. This may be enough. If not, there are other things that can be done. There are a number of advantages to removing these panels.
