    Default Ryker high pitched tone

After running for about an hour, my Ryker starts emitting a tone that sounds like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayf1sYiNLhQ

Guess my Ryker goes off the air

Mine has been doing that too lately. My bike is ~2 month old and has about 600 miles on it. My understanding is that it is the fuel pump. I'm going to wait if mine starts doing it more frequently before I worry about it.

brp has a prototype part to fix the issue and it is being tested. the fuel valve squeals like a faucet that the valve is barely opened. the part is a spacer. get with your dealer to get them to order you one. one of the people in the ryker FB group has had it put in and it seems to fix the noise.

@rogue Hawk - having the pump replaced will not fix the issue as it is a design issue not a defect. have your dealer start a case with brp and have them request the parts that go in the pump to fix the whine. its only noisy, it will not leave you stranded.

Mine happened to whistle or whine about a month ago I thought from the extreme hot weather while riding. Phoned my dealer and he sent me to You Tube to listen to that same noise.. He phoned BRP and they over-nighted a proto-type unit to him. They installed the new unit and the sound was gone. I have been doing some all day riding events this weekend and not a sound to be heard. I have a 2019 Rally and did plenty of riding last year and this year also, but the sound did not start until last month. So far, so good.

most people report the whine under 2 conditions. hot outside and 1/2 or less tank of gas.
