Adding insult to injury is the fact that her bail is only $40,500, meaning $4,050 posted and she's out to do it again.
On the road again...........and forever young!

Sad. Thoughts and 's for the family of the victim. These accidents are always sad to read about, and in most cases, the drivers are repeat offenders.
Happily, the trend has been to lock them up and give them some real jail time. It all depends on the lawyer and the area where the accident happens.
There was a case in AK, where the same drunk lady, was involved in the deaths and maiming of four different people. Last I heard, she was out and about again.

You know ... I never can understand why they will set bail on someone who commits MURDER
and is DUI and leaves the seen of the crash. There should be NO Bail keep them locked up until trial
and then go the death row. I am not a fan of easy or light jail terms for this type of thing
Only my opinion...

I agree letting them out is a huge legal error. There was a woman here in Tucson who had been arrested several times for drunk driving. She killed a young biker about a mile from my house while driving drunk. She is out today due to being someone "important". The young biker she killed was under 30 and a family man. They all belong in jail for a long time if they kill someone. If they are caught driving drunk they loose their license for at least a year for the first offense.

Its real simple DON'T DRIVE DRUNK! It's not an "Accident" if you drink and drive period!
Hope the family the best................

Killing someone while D.U.I. should be treated, at a very minimum, as MANSLAUGHTER and if found guilty, be sentenced as such, with NO time off for good behaviour. There is NO excuse for D.U.I., and this includes both alcohol and drugs.

But here in Memphis they don't care if they get the driver license taken, hell they drive without one.

Very sad...condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
As a former L.E.O., seeing the results of high speed related accidents is something that stays with you forever. But when it was NOT an accident, because I driver INTENTIONALLY operated a motor vehicle while impair, and injury or death was a result, the level of disdain for that person could never be satisfied by the courts. I have no sympathy for anyone who does not have the strength of self control and knowingly decides to act in such a way as to put another human in harms way. And when alcohol is involved, it infuriates me.
IT IS, WHAT IT IS...
