Default Break in period on 2020 F3, 1330 engine

Ok, Manuel says to change oil and filter at 3000 miles to get break in oil out. No problem with that, my question is on the HCM oil filter? Since it runs on the same oil as the motor, would it be a good idea to change it also, Manuel says at 28000 miles? A little expensive, but want your opinions! Thanks

I waited to 30K, but 28K is the recommendation.
Of course, you have the right to spend your money or time the way you choose!

If it was me I would do it, I call that cheap insurance! You can never go wrong with a good oil and filters in every thing!

I agree with AJ. If the engineers believed it necessary to change the HCM filter at 3K they would have added it to the 3K service. I have not heard of a single 1330 ACE engine that has had the transmission or shifting system crap out because the HCM filter was not changed before the 28K service.

Thanks, good advice. Will stick to just the regular oil and filter change at 3,000 miles.
