Default 2019 F3SS Sport mode won’t stay engaged

I have a 2019 F3SS with roughly 2200 miles on it and the “Sport Mode” will not stay engaged when the mode button is pressed? After 30 seconds to a minute it shuts off. Any ideas?

Sounds like the passenger seat switch is being activated by your rear seat or mono seat cowl jiggling about try taking off your rear seat/cowl and see if that fixes it.if it does you need to adjust your seat/cowl pin. putting a small sponge in the middle of the rear seat pan stops the jiggling of the seat/cowl activating the switch

I believe that 'normal' is the default, so yeah, it'll go back to normal every time you shut down.

And YES, you'll need to reset it to 'sport' mode every time you start up, at least you'll hafta do that if you want it in sport mode anyway.

I have the coast to coast seat and remove the backseat on. Occasion to take the passenger backrest off from time to time when i ride with no passenger. I guess that may cause it? I have to find this button you speak of?

Which button are you talking about?? If it's the same Mode button as the earlier Spyders, it'll be up the top Left of the Left Hand Hand Grip - the one with a big green ECO label alongside it - that was the Mode button before ECO came along, and I believe on those with ECO, it takes a Long Press to activate/de-activate that, while Mode is accessed with a Short Press! Anyone with more 2018/19/20 experience got any better info??

But if you are talking about the 'Under the Pillion Seat Button, that's literally UNDER the Pillion Seat!! And btw, taking the backrest off the seat shouldn't impact Sport mode at all - IIRC it's only activated thru the handlebar Mode button & it can be over-ridden - deactivated by depressing the switch/large button under the passenger seat when anyone sits on it/whenever you put weight on that seat - about 20 pounds I believe. But as I said earlier, I'm pretty sure you need to select Sport Mode EVERY time you start up your Spyder - it defaults to Sport Mode OFF. Even then even if you do have Sport Mode selected, the Under Pillion Seat switch/large button will over-ride it too!!

Pop the Pillion seat, look for a large round placcy disc that jiggles around a bit - there's only one, and that's it!! Put any weight on the seat & it'll press down on the contacts underneath & de-activate Sport Mode!
