You sure you're not looking at the trip meter and not the odometer?

Which tripmeter are you viewing A, B or C?

A and B are tripmeters. C is the odometer.

Let us know if that information helps.

I use the A meter for gas mileage. Every fill up it gets zeroed...then I know how many miles I have on the tank.

The B meter is used to keep track of how many miles I go in a week or two. Once I record that, it gets zeroed.

The C meter is total miles on the machine.

I have a 2019 F3L but am guessing the function of the tripmeters is the same.

Push the joystick in to get to the sub menus then push to the right. When you see the Launch Stats/Trip you'll see 3 tabbed fields. The first two are Trips and the last one is Odo. When in the Odo push the joystick up and hold and the numbers on the left will change to Odo. GO to either of the other two and do the same thing and that number will show.

I'm sure you're looking at a trip meter number. Odometers any more very seldom, if at all, show tenths of miles.
