Default How to Reinstall F3T Mirrors?

Have searched and find nothing on reinstalling F3T mirrors.

I know the top grommet/plug? is supposed to into and slide down into its slot and the two bottom ones then snap into their places. My problem is I can't get that top one to go in far enough to slide down into its place.

I've done a bunch of RT's with no problems, but the F3T is different.

    Any clues?

I have seen a few post that have had a problem and they ended up lubricating the pin and that seemed to help on the F3 and new 2020 RT

Thanks Copperspyder, I did put a touch of lube on the three posts. Got it back on but not until I completely took it apart. With the front and rear covers off, mirror out, light out, that only left the inner piece which was easy to hook on to the frame. Putting the parts back on, once that was done was easy. I now know how it works and it was useful to know. I'll try not to ever take one off again tho! LOL
