    Default That wiggly VSS light

In the last week I've noticed when I start my 17 F3 ltd, when I go thru the usual start up procedure and hit the start button, the bike sounds dead then starts up and also the VSS light goes on then off quickly! Is there anything I can check and is there any reason for concern .

Sounds like the battery is starting to show its age... if it gets worse, probably time to replace it. We average about 3 years on ours even with battery tenders.

Could it be NORMAL .... When you first start the bike, I think all the warning light symbols come briefly, just to let you know they are still working and the lamps haven't burned out ...... Mike ...PS if you do need to replace the Battery , before you make the connection put STAR washers on the terminals. They won't ever loosen by themselves ....

Great idea, Whats weird is that light hasn't shown up before and when starting it sounds like when a your car needs a new starter without that WHIRR sound. Nothing then it kicks over. My technical jargon exhibits my technical no-how! haha

Sounds like a not quite tight enuff connection or loose ground.Put those washers on your old battery b4 you buy a new one.
